YouTuber Jack Doherty, 22, was arrested in Miami Beach after police said he obstructed traffic while attempting to film content and was later found with illegal substances during the incident. Officers reported that Doherty entered the roadway in the early morning hours, blocking vehicles as bystanders recorded him.

According to the arrest report, police instructed Doherty several times to leave the street. He allegedly refused, leading officers to detain him at approximately 3:12 a.m. A search conducted after the arrest reportedly uncovered amphetamine pills and a small amount of cannabis. He was booked on charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis under 20 grams, and resisting an officer without violence. His bond was set at $3,500.

Doherty, who has amassed millions of followers across YouTube and TikTok, is known for challenge-style content and public stunts. Police noted in a statement that “regardless of celebrity status,” individuals creating disruptive content in public spaces will face enforcement when actions compromise safety or obstruct traffic.

As creators pursue increasingly attention-grabbing videos, authorities in several cities have expressed concern about stunts that spill into public roadways or commercial areas. Doherty’s case is not the only incident that involves influencers whose content led to legal consequences when filmed in high-traffic environments.

Doherty has not publicly commented on the charges. The case will now move forward through the Miami-Dade County court system, with a hearing expected in the coming weeks.
