Patreon is offering creators a new way to earn money. The platform announced that it will soon allow users to gift subscriptions. This is just one of many new features Patreon is adding to help creators grow their communities and increase their income.

A highly requested feature

The gifting option has been a popular request from creators on Patreon. Now, it is finally becoming a reality.

“Gifting is one of the all-time most requested tools for creators on Patreon — and now it’s in the works,” the Patreon team wrote in a blog post. This new feature will let fans gift memberships to others for a set time. The gifting feature will be found in a new Promotions tab. This tab will also include tools for discounting digital products and automating offers.

New tools for creators

Soon, Patreon creators will have more resources to interact with their fan base. Thanks to a new feature, creators will be able to hold live chats with their patrons as new content is released. These community chats will also be accessible to free users. Another option for creators to get money from non-paying supporters is to collect their content into a set that can be sold.

Patreon is introducing auto-generated clips that creators may share on social media to help them market their work and draw in new supporters. In an effort to support creators in building more robust and active communities, Patreon is also now improving communication by enabling free members to participate in community conversations.

While the exact timeline for these new features is not yet available, Patreon has said that gifted subscriptions and chat countdowns are “coming next.” Creators and patrons can look forward to these exciting updates in the coming months. We’ll keep an eye on Patreon’s blog for the latest news and updates and let you know as soon as there’s new developments.
