Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson is known for his massive video concepts. In most of his videos and challenges, he invites participants from all around the world. Such opportunities are posted on his social media channels. However, the creator’s Chief of Staff, Shawn Hendrix, warned fans of “scam” emails circulating around offering false opportunities to be part of Beast Games.
The scam that asks for payments
The content of the scam emails is asking the receivers for personal information and payments in exchange for a slot in one of MrBeast’s videos.
“Heads-up that if you’ve received an email from contact@mrbeastcast.com asking for payment and personal information in order to participate in casting for Beast Games, our Youtube channel or anything else related to MrBeast, it’s a scam!” Hendrix posted on X.
“These emails are designed to trick you into sharing sensitive details. We are working on taking down the fraudulent website and forms, but in the meantime please do not click on any links or provide any personal information!!” he added
Caution on clicking links
MrBeast and his team post job opportunities on their official website, where fans can click the links and fill out the application forms. The fraudulent emails replicated the look of the website; however, they had a list of sponsors you need to download before proceeding.
Hendrix warns that the team doesn’t ask for money from the participants to get a chance to be cast on the projects. “Be aware and protect your personal information,” he wrote.
