While livestreaming from Medellín, Colombia, two Kick streamers, Captain Gee and Cris Travels, encountered an awful situation. Five days into their 24/7 subathon, the two met two women on a nighttime stroll who they assumed were prostitutes. After an agreement was reached to pay 300,000 pesos (about $68) for the night, things took an unexpected turn.
Suspicious Drinks and Abrupt Stream End
One woman in a red outfit kept offering the streamers drinks back at their rental. Soon after, Captain Gee got nervous and told Cris Travels, “I think they drugged me,” but his friend brushed his concerns aside. Turning to the camera, he declared, “Chat, I’m drunk, and I think they drugged me.”
Viewers were concerned when the stream abruptly ended shortly after. One of the women was seen approaching the camera in the final footage that was visible.
Viewers Rally to Help
The Airbnb host was contacted by worried fans, and cops showed up. Fortunately, Cris Travels and Captain Gee were found safe but confused. They had lost their wallets and laptops, among other electronic devices.
“The important thing is that they are in good health,” the host reassured. They added, “We are working with the police to catch the women and make their faces public everywhere.”
Lessons Learned
Later, the streamers went live once more to discuss their experience, with the title, “We got drugged and robbed in Medellín, Colombia.” CrisTravels posted a snippet on Instagram, warning followers about their experience.
A lot of viewers think the two were targeted out because they were tourists who didn’t know about the risks in the area. A commenter noted, “They know who to pick on.” Another added, “You became an easy target because of your lack of caution.”
The pair has since left Medellín for Santa Marta.
