VTuber Ironmouse has announced her departure from VShojo, citing alleged financial discrepancies. These include claims that the management company owes her significant revenue and failed to forward a $500,000 donation to the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF).

Ironmouse revealed these allegations on July 21 in a YouTube video, stating, “I believe that I am owed a significant amount of funds which I have not been paid… the [IDF] is owed over half a million dollars from VShojo.”

The missing funds

The $500,000 stemmed from her record-setting Twitch subathon in October 2024, during which she gained over 321,000 active subscribers. The monthlong event generated an estimated $1.8 million, of which Ironmouse committed to donating half to the IDF after Twitch takes its cut. She now claims the pledged amount has not been processed by VShojo.

VShojo’s revenue distribution operates similarly to other creator management firms, where earnings are managed by the company before being disbursed to talents. Allegations of financial mishandling have raised questions about the company’s practices, though VShojo has not issued a public statement in response.

Other creators’ reaction to the allegation

Ironmouse’s allegations have sparked reactions from other VShojo creators. VTubers GEEGA, Zentreya and Projekt Melody have all announced their departures in connection with these concerns. GEEGA acknowledged behind-the-scenes issues but indicated legal constraints prevent her from discussing them fully. Zentreya and Kson also pointed to unresolved financial matters, with payments allegedly delayed or stopped entirely.

Projekt Melody described her decision to leave as “devastating,” while Kson said she had been planning her exit due to unpaid earnings since late 2024.

Since Ironmouse’s announcement, English-speaking VShojo creators have removed references to the agency from their social media profiles. Despite this, Ironmouse remains committed to supporting the IDF. She has launched a separate fundraiser for the organization and reports having raised over $580,000 independently.

VShojo has since announced it is shutting down its operations.
