VTuber Henya the Genius has accused her former agency, VShojo, of failing to fulfill merchandise preorders and misusing funds collected from her community. The allegations come amid ongoing controversies surrounding the now-defunct VTuber organization.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Henya revealed that VShojo would not be delivering preordered merchandise to her fans. “VShojo collected all the money from sales and preorders of my merch but misused the funds without my knowledge or consent,” she wrote. Henya also stated that she was not paid from these sales and that some of the merchandise was never manufactured.

Fans advised to seek refunds

Henya encouraged her fans to contact their credit card providers to request chargebacks for unfulfilled orders. She expressed frustration over the situation, explaining that by the time she became aware of the issue, it was too late to intervene. “Order fulfillment had already been stopped,” she said, adding that she had pushed VShojo to make a public statement, but the company has remained silent.

To make amends, Henya announced plans to provide special digital content to fans affected by the unfulfilled orders.

A troubled end for VShojo

This controversy follows a series of issues that have plagued VShojo in recent months. The organization’s CEO, Justin “GunRun” Ignacio, recently confirmed that the company would be shutting down after multiple creators left the agency. Allegations of unpaid charity funds and talent compensation have further tarnished the agency’s reputation.

Henya’s claims have drawn support from her fans, many of whom have praised her transparency and reassured her that the situation is not her fault. However, the incident raises issues about accountability and transparency in creator-focused organizations.

As the fallout from VShojo’s closure continues, creators and fans alike are left questioning how such situations can be prevented in the future.
