G FUEL has updated its energy formula with an easier-to-mix, smoother version that removes the chalky aftertaste and uses no fillers. Known as Formula 2.0, the reformulated powder also includes more antioxidants and amino acids. YouTuber PewDiePie, who collaborated on G FUEL flavor lines, endorsed the change, calling it “no chalky finish, no fillers,” a statement echoed across the brand’s marketing.
Formula updates and ingredients
G FUEL says the new blend maintains its familiar flavor profiles while delivering improved mixability and clarity. Formula 2.0 increases choline, antioxidants, and key performance nutrients such as L-citrulline, L-carnitine, taurine and glycine. Each serving continues to offer caffeine, B vitamins and zero sugar. Specialty flavors, including the PewDiePie Lingonberry blend, are available in both the revamped and original formulations.
G FUEL CEO Bryan Crowley said, “We’ve eliminated the chalkiness and the powder at the bottom of your shaker while adding cleaner, better ingredients with no added fillers.”
Formula 2.0 will be available in September 2025. G FUEL is promoting it with “PewDiePie Approved” messaging and emphasizing the improved texture. Some users in online forums have reported that the new blend feels lighter, while others noted that it takes adjustment if they were used to the original mix. The company is offering both versions to accommodate preferences.
G FUEL says Formula 2.0 is designed to meet the needs of creators and consumers who want an energy product with cleaner ingredients and consistent performance. The company has kept its existing flavor lineup while revising the formula, and will be monitoring how users respond as the new version reaches the market. PewDiePie and other creators are expected to highlight the changes in upcoming promotions.
G FUEL sparked concern when it posted on X that it was “the end of an era,” making it seem like the company was shutting down. As a major sponsor in the creator community, the news naturally worried many. But it turns out the post was just part of its Formula 2.0 launch.
