FaZe Clan confirmed that multiple creators have exited the organization following discussions around updated contract terms. The departures were announced individually in late December.

Several former members, such as Adapt, JasonTheWeen, Lacy, StableRonaldo, YourRage and Kaysan, shared short public messages confirming the end of their affiliation with FaZe. Most statements focused on personal reflections or time spent with the organization, with limited detail about negotiations or internal matters. In some follow-up comments, creators noted that their contracts had ended or that they chose not to continue under revised agreements.

The announcements came across platforms including X and Instagram, often framed as personal updates rather than formal statements.

“I have a lot of love for everyone who helped build FaZe, especially the OGs early on, and I wish I had been able to do more to keep things together over the years,” former co-owner and COO FaZe Rug wrote.

Alleged change of ownership

The departures followed several months of discussions linked to changes in FaZe’s ownership and leadership. The revised agreements reportedly, according to rumors, included terms that some creators chose not to accept, leading them to move forward independently rather than renew their contracts. While the specific details of those agreements have not been made public, the talks were described as part of a wider effort by current management to reshape how the organization works with creators.

The creators who left include both long-time FaZe members and newer additions. Many built sizable audiences while affiliated with the brand and were regularly featured in collaborative videos, livestreams, and sponsored appearances. Their exits reduce the overall size of FaZe’s creator roster, although the organization has not shared updated numbers.

FaZe acknowledged the departures publicly and thanked the creators for their time with the organization. The company has said the changes do not affect its esports teams, competitive operations or existing brand partnerships. No related updates to tournament participation or esports lineups have been announced. Further updates to creator partnerships or contract structures may follow as the organization continues to review its long-term plans.
