MrBeast’s July 25 video, “We Helped 100 Kids Fight Cancer,” granted 100 young cancer patients a wish apiece. Trips, shopping sprees, meetings with celebrities. Each one was built around what that specific kid asked for.

The guest list ran long: LeBron James, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, IShowSpeed, KSI, Stray Kids, LaurenZSide, Sam and Colby, Dr Mike and Christina Tosi.

Some kids went to Disney World. Others got whale sharks, Formula 1, gaming, space or professional basketball. One signed a SpaceX Falcon 9 before it launched.

James met a group of young basketball fans and brought them to House Three Thirty, the community space his family foundation runs in Akron, Ohio.

The project also includes a $6.5 million donation

The ending is where the video turns. One participant didn’t want an experience. He asked MrBeast to spend it on other kids with cancer instead.

That request produced a blood drive in Greenville, North Carolina, which collected enough to potentially help as many as 1,000 people. MrBeast then announced a $6.5 million commitment alongside biotechnology company Amgen and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

The money funds a new Stand Up To Cancer Pediatric Cancer Dream Team, pulling scientists, doctors and research institutions together to develop new pediatric cancer treatments. St. Baldrick’s is raising another $1.5 million for the wider campaign.

This is familiar territory for MrBeast. He’s funded medical procedures, built homes and hospitals, shipped essential supplies and run Beast Philanthropy as its own channel.
