Cover Corp., the company behind Hololive Production, announced that it will begin offering dedicated meet-and-greet experiences through its hololive Meet initiative. The sessions will debut at select conventions and events, letting fans interact with VTubers through virtual technology in a more personal setting.
Unlike traditional convention appearances, the meet-and-greets place fans in private booths for short, real-time conversations with a VTuber. The creators appear digitally rather than physically, but the format is built to replicate an in-person exchange.
The announcement builds on Hololive Meet, the company’s global convention program. Over the past five years, it has featured stage panels, concerts, merchandise and special appearances at anime and gaming events.
Expanding fan experiences beyond livestreams
Hololive’s creators built their global audiences mainly through YouTube livestreams, music releases and gaming content. Fans could attend concerts and convention panels, but chances for direct interaction stayed limited.
The new format aims to close that gap while preserving the virtual identities of Hololive’s talents. Cover says the sessions will roll out at participating events across its international convention schedule.
The company has been pushing further outside YouTube lately, with overseas concerts, brand collaborations and appearances at major fan conventions across North America and Asia.
VTubers continue growing beyond streaming
Virtual creators have moved into mainstream entertainment, with agencies like Hololive selling out concerts and staging large-scale fan events worldwide.
What sets the meet-and-greets apart is the contact itself. Fans get a one-on-one moment with a creator who stays fully in their virtual persona, something a stage panel or a livestream can’t offer.
