YouTuber Schlep and lawyer “Law by Mike” announced they intend to file a lawsuit against Roblox, alleging the platform has not adequately protected minors. No formal complaint has been filed yet, but the announcement has intensified scrutiny of the company’s safety policies.
Roblox’s alleged safety issues for minors
In a joint YouTube video titled “WE’RE SUING ROBLOX,” Law by Mike cited multiple instances where adults reportedly made contact with children on Roblox. He referred to a separate 2025 case involving a minor known as “DH,” which accused Roblox of presenting itself as safe while allowing predators to operate. Schlep, known for livestreaming content that exposes threats on the platform, said the effort is intended to push for changes in how Roblox handles user safety.
The announcement follows a lawsuit filed in August by the Louisiana Attorney General. That case claimed Roblox’s content moderation and age verification were insufficient to prevent child exploitation. In response, Roblox banned content that “implies” sexual activity and restricted access to themed private experiences. Critics argue these steps do not go far enough to safeguard minors on the platform.
Public reaction has included backlash over Roblox’s decision to ban Schlep, with some creators and viewers suggesting that shutting down watchdog content has downplayed the severity of the safety issues raised.
Schlep and Law by Mike are collecting additional evidence as they prepare to move forward with legal action. If a lawsuit is lodged, it could add to mounting legal pressure and potentially prompt stricter safety requirements for Roblox. Meanwhile, lawmakers and community members continue to demand clearer protections for young users on livestreaming and gaming platforms.
