YouTube creator P2istheName, whose IRL name was Phil Enewally, was found dead in a Los Angeles apartment building mailroom on March 15. He was 26.
The cause of death
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed the discovery but hasn’t released the cause of death. According to TMZ, Phil’s body was discovered by a friend, and foul play is not suspected.
Phil’s YouTube channel, P2istheName, had more than 600,000 subscribers. His content focused on gaming, vlogs, and challenges. He gained a loyal following by mixing gaming videos with pranks and reaction content, building a personality-driven brand that made him relatable to his audience.
Fans and fellow creators are posting tributes across social media. Phil’s last YouTube upload was on March 13. He appeared upbeat and connected with his audience as usual, which makes the news even more shocking to his community.
Many are grieving his sudden death. YouTuber COLETHEMAN wrote on X he was at “a loss for words.” He went on to say that “”My good friend @P2istheName has passed away,” the YouTuber wrote. “Wow. I’m honestly at a loss for words. He was always so kind to me and gave me so much content creation advice.”
