Cameo announced a new partnership with TikTok that will allow eligible U.S.-based creators to sell personalized video messages directly through the app. The integration is an additional monetization feature within TikTok’s expanding creator tools, streamlining the process for both creators and fans.
Under the new setup, creators will be able to sign up for Cameo within TikTok and offer paid custom videos without sending users to an external site. TikTok is also introducing custom call-to-action buttons that creators can attach to their content, making it easier for viewers to request and purchase personalized videos. Fans will additionally be able to discover participating creators through TikTok search.
In-app monetization continues to expand
This partnership keeps creator monetization tools inside the platform’s own ecosystem. Rather than directing followers off-platform, the Cameo integration keeps discovery, promotion and purchase activity within the app itself. For creators, that may reduce friction around fan transactions and make personalized content offers easier to promote through everyday posts.
TikTok said the feature is intended to help creators build stronger one-to-one connections with their audiences while opening another revenue stream beyond brand deals, gifts, subscriptions and creator funds. Cameo, meanwhile, described TikTok creators as one of its fastest-growing talent groups.
A new direction for Cameo
After surging in popularity during the pandemic, the platform has spent the last few years trying to stabilize its business as consumer habits shifted and demand cooled. Integrating directly with TikTok gives Cameo access to a large creator base and a built-in audience already familiar with short-form personality-driven content.
For now, the feature is limited to U.S.-based creators, and neither company has announced whether it will expand internationally. It also remains unclear whether TikTok will take a share of transactions on top of Cameo’s existing commission structure.
